Senior Pastor Jason Delgado is a third generation full-gospel Pastor and was raised in a strong ministry home here in Mississippi. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for a four-year tour of duty which led him around the world while connecting with and helping great churches.
Pastor Jason then pursued his Bible college education in Phoenix, Arizona with a goal to seek stronger mentoring in ministry. The opportunity to intern and gain mentoring under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Barnett and Phoenix First Assembly further impassioned him for the lost and wayward. During this season, God began to give him a greater vision for the church he would one day build.
Upon graduation from Bible college, Jason and his wife, Rachael, followed the leading of the Lord to assume the pastorate of a small church in San Diego, California. During their years of service they witnessed the Lord transform a handful of people into a growing contemporary church making a noticeable impact in their community.
As the hard work was beginning to show great results in San Diego, God began to stir their hearts to move back to the Mid-South to plant a dynamic life-giving church, and in early April 2003, they arrived in Southaven, Mississippi. With a passion in their hearts for DeSoto County and the vision to build a thriving contemporary church, Jason and Rachael feel that DeSoto County will be called “home” for the duration of their ministry.
Pastor Jason is a gifted teacher and communicator. He teaches the Word of God with relevancy as well as life-changing depth and boldness. His style allows people to feel comfortable as well as challenged, excited, and eager to know the Lord in greater intimacy and discover His incredible destiny for their lives.
Pastor Jason and Rachael have two beautiful children, Ava and Nathan. |
