We believe our mission as a church is the same mission of the early church of Acts 2.

Acts 2:42-47

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

The mission statement of Church on the Horizon is . . .

To evangelize our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ, establish new believers into Christlike maturity, equip believers for their ministry within the church, encourage each other in the faith, empower our ministry through prayer, and exalt God through praise and worship in order to advance His kingdom.

• Evangelize - “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved”
• Establish - “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching”
• Equip - “They gave to anyone as he had need”
• Encourage - “They devoted themselves to ... the fellowship ... all the believers were together ... they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”
• Empower - “They devoted themselves ... to prayer”
• Exalt - “... praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people”
